AVOCADO CREMA AND JALAPENO RELISH

Cool things off with this fluffy avocado crema and add some zing with this fresh jalapeño relish, amazing with any of your favorite Mexican-inspired dishes (beef tacos, fajitas, or enchiladas).

Ingredients

Avocado Crema

  • 1 ½ cup crema, sour cream or creme fraiche
  • 2 avocados, pit removed and rough chopped
  • 1 bunch cilantro, rough chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, smashed
  • 2-3 tablespoons lime juice
  • Kosher salt

Jalapeno Relish

  • 1 small white onion, finely diced
  • 5 jalapenos, finely diced (seeds removed optional)
  • 4 small red radish, finely diced
  • ¼ cup cilantro, finely minced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt

Avocado Crema

Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree on high until smooth, add 1-2 tablespoons of water if needed in order to achieve motion in the blender. Store covered tightly refrigerated until ready to serve.

Jalapeno Relish

Combine all ingredients in a small mixing bowl and stir together. Allow flavors to marry while refrigerated.
