Here are the magic numbers you’ll need to determine when your steak is cooked to the degree of doneness you most prefer. The internal temp is when the steak should be removed from the heat. The steak will continue to cook so the temperature will rise during the rest period.

Medium Rare Red, warm center 120°F
Medium Pink throughout 130°F
Medium Well Pink center 140°F
Well No pink Not recommended

    My son got me a Traeger Grill for Birthday/Fathers day and there was a SNR coupon so I decided to try it. Unfortunately first order was delayed endlessly by shipping company and came totally thawed. Customer service was AWESOME! Offered to refund/replace and worked with me on delivery date as I was out of town. 2nd try was perfect - everything frozen hard as a rock. Made the Cowboy Steak today and it was one of the finest, most delicious steaks I have ever had. Made me think of Monty Python's Life of Brian and the stoning scene where the Blasphemer said the piece of Halibut was good enough for Jehovah.. Well, this steak certainly was!

  • The best steak I’ve ever had!

    I received my steak totally frozen, and that was great. My steaks where two and a half pounds. Perfect marbling and thick. I did a reverse sear with smoking after sear. Seriously this was the best steak I’ve ever had, and I’m from Chicago.

    One of the best steaks I’ve ever made. I offset smoked it on my Weber with oak. Turned out absolutely perfect. This is truly prime beef!

    This cowboy steak is GREAT! Not the 1st time we got this steak! And it is the best steak ! Do your self a treat! Med rare on grill, reverse sear! Just great!!! Will get again thanks SRF!

  • Great steaks

    Introduced spring of 2020 and have become accustomed to the quality meat SRF produces. Ordered the cowboy steaks and quality was great, but was disappointed with presentation. They advertise with a full bone but sent stubs.
