Our favorite salt for putting the final touch on steaks and roasts.  Jacobsen harvests their special salt crystals by hand from Netarts Bay on the Oregon Coast. The salt flakes have a bright and briny flavor and add a delicate crunch to steaks or any food.

Each 4 oz. bag of Jacobsen Pure Flake Finishing Salt contains larger salt crystals that add a subtle crunch and burst of salinity to steaks, roasts or any dish. A light sprinkling catches the eye and enhances the sweet and savory notes in food.

Jacobsen Salt Co. is the first company to harvest salt in the Pacific Northwest since the 1800s. Company founder Ben Jacobsen tested 27 sites all along the Washington and Oregon coasts and identified Netarts Bay, just south of Tillamook, Oregon, as the ideal source for his products. Netarts Bay is the ideal size for harvesting salt and contains a large population of oysters that naturally pre-filter the water.

Jacobsen developed custom methods to slowly evaporate the pristine seawater until it naturally forms delicate salt crystals, which are hand harvested and dried. These large, coarse flakes have a beautiful sheen and complex flavor.
