Snake River Farms

Snake River Farms spare ribs are cut St. Louis style making them perfect for grilling, smoking or barbecuing. These are 100% Berkshire pork (Kurobuta) for a deeper red color, rich flavor and juiciness. Our spare ribs are the choice of grill masters who prefer larger, meatier ribs than our baby backs.

*Please note: Kurobuta (Berkshire) ribs are smaller in size than conventional pork and we do not recommend them for competitions.

Due to the unique conformations of this product, approximate weights can vary up to +/- 0.5 pounds. The membrane is removed.

  • Excellent

I put them in a 225 oven with a spicy rub for 5 hours——then another hour with BBQ sauce. Enough for two delicious.
I think 5 hours was an hour too much but my husband was unusually complimentary ——-worth the price!

  • Big Let Down

Considering the great quality of SRF wagyu steaks and briskets, I assumed these ribs would be that for $30 a rack, but they are not. I ordered two racks and both were small, 7-8 ribs per rack, and very thin (little meat). After smoking them, the taste of the pork was not good and almost not edible. For the same price you can get duroc spare ribs.

SRF Team : Hi Dram, thank you for writing this review and bringing this to our attention! We apologize for missing the mark on these ribs. Our ribs are smaller in size due to the size of Berkshire Hogs, but should certainly have enough meat on the bones to satisfy. We have sent you an email to initiate the review process in order to make this right!

  • Underweight

I have ordered these ribs in the past and I have been very please. This time around I ordered 12 racks for an upcoming event and 11 racks were what I expected. The last rack was well under weight at just 1.2 pounds. I know it’s not normal as and I think this little guy just slipped under the radar. Hopefully with the next order this won’t happen. Other than that, everything was awesome. Thanks SRF.
