Steak Temperature Guide

Here are the magic numbers you’ll need to determine when your steak is cooked to the degree of doneness you most prefer. The internal temp is when the steak should be removed from the heat. The steak will continue to cook so the temperature will rise during the rest period.

Rare Red center, very cool 110°F
Medium Rare Red, warm center 120°F
Medium Pink throughout 130°F
Medium Well Pink center 140°F
Well No pink Not recommended

    Did the reverse sear. Did everything by the book and that was the toughest steak I ever tried to eat. We cooked both steaks and f d them to our dogs. The more you chewed the bigger it got in your mouth. No more snake river farms

  • OUTSTANDING!!!

    This is without a doubt the best steak I've ever grilled. Did a reverse sear that
    finished with a 1000 degree sear on my Kamado Joe to a perfect medium
    rare. The steak was like butter and literally melted in our mouths. My
    wife wants me to order some more soon as she really loved the bag they were
    packed in.

  • GREAT FLAVOR BUT TO MUCH SILVER SKIN

    This is the 2nd time we have ordered the prime cowboy steak. The first one we had, in the top 3 steaks we have ever had. This time, however, we go the same flavor but many portions of the steak were tough and not edible. There was a large amount of fat (which is great!) but there was just as much if not more of that tough, silver skin which made the steak hard to serve and eat. That is the reason for the 3 star rating this time. Flavor alone is still a 5 star. I have two more in the freezer so hopefully those don't have as much of the silver skin. We still will order these again.
