Steak Temperature Guide

Here are the magic numbers you’ll need to determine when your steak is cooked to the degree of doneness you most prefer. The internal temp is when the steak should be removed from the heat. The steak will continue to cook so the temperature will rise during the rest period.

Rare Red center, very cool 110°F
Medium Rare Red, warm center 120°F
Medium Pink throughout 130°F
Medium Well Pink center 140°F
Well No pink Not recommended

*Consuming raw or undercooked meats may increase your risk of foodborne illness. The USDA recommends an internal temp of 145°F and resting for at least 3 minutes.

  • Excellet Ribeye...not life changing

    The 8oz. Black Ribeye Filet was very good and you could tell the quality of meat was better than your average Ribeye with slightly better flavor but I'm not sure I would pay the premium price because I have had bigger and juicer Ribeye steaks for a lot less money.

  • Had to try it

    I tried the sirloin and the rib eye to compare to the Angus I raise myself. The sirloin was a little tougher than mine but still good. The rib eye was noticeably better than the sirloin but still not any better than the regular angus. Overall good stake but not worth the extra cost in my opinion. Maybe 100% wagyu is better.

  • Excellent steaks

    Made these steaks for Christmas Eve dinner and they were a hit, everyone was impressed with them. Was my first time ordering from SRF, definitely will not be the last.

    These were the tastiest steaks, ever. Very tender and with a nice grain. Wagyu is the way to go!
