Snake River Farms Sirloin Steak
Sirloin is arguably the most well known steak and is frequently a restaurant special because of its meaty flavor and great value. Our filets are cut from the top sirloin, a large boneless lean portion which many consider superior to the bottom sirloin. Snake River Farms top sirloin steak is well flavored, lean and feature the moderate tenderness that is the hallmark of sirloin cuts. These sirloin steaks are extremely versatile for either steak or sirloin tips, and are an ideal choice for your favorite marinades or prepared straight-up on the grill.
Steak Temperature GuideHere are the magic numbers you’ll need to determine when your steak is cooked to the degree of doneness you most prefer. The internal temp is when the steak should be removed from the heat. The steak will continue to cook so the temperature will rise during the rest period.
|Rare||Red center, very cool||110°F|
|Medium Rare||Red, warm center||120°F|
|Medium Well||Pink center||140°F|
|Well||No pink||Not recommended|
*Consuming raw or undercooked meats may increase your risk of foodborne illness. The USDA recommends an internal temp of 145°F and resting for at least 3 minutes.

Meat was good, wrapping wasn't
3 of the 8 of my filets had not been sealed correctly and the juices were leaking out the edges and air got in the bag while it was in the fridge defrosting. I thought first maybe the packages bumped each other on the shipping but no impossible!! The leaks on all 3 were at the edge where the plastic was fused together during the vacume sealing process keep it from leaking. ( although not for mine ) The meat looks superb although the ones that had the leaks became discolored when in the fridge and it may have been just in my head but it seemed like it also tasted a bit off because of that my brothers and my dad also agreed although they also had seen the leak before looking and were also skeptical the meats would taste fresh because of it. Overall for the price I kinda expected them to all be nearly perfect or at least packaged properly that being said I'm a bit upset as I knew this company had top quality beef although it seems packaging is only average quality. Now I dont want a replacement or a refund for the steaks because I'm not that kind of person.
But I do really request you look into the packaging systems of the smaller 6oz-10oz steaks as it seems the machines are not working properly on sealing the packages. Overall I beleive this is a small issue and one of up keep and maintenance. I want to again thank you for you taking an interest in your customer's comments and requests. Have a wonderful day. I hope to receive a reply with good news toward the problem I incurred and a solution,
Thank you again have a wonderful day =)

Better than Restaurant Stakes
My brother sent me some SRF Steaks for Christmas because he knew I was on a special diet. Up until I tried these steaks, I thought the only way I could get a melt in your mouth steak was from one of the best restaurants. The steak came nicely packed and looked really good. We kept it frozen till our anniversary when we took it out and used an air fryer to cook it. It came out perfectly cooked (med rare), and tasted absolutely perfect!! It melted in my mouth just like the expensive restaurant steaks, but without all the extra junk they put on them for flavor and tenderness. And, I cooked it in an air fryer... Purchased more for us and as a gift. Recommended!

I liked it...
Steak looked really good and cooked SUPER well, I went cast iron pan to oven but honestly the taste of this reminded me of deer meat. I nearly almost checked the garbage can in my kitchen to see if I accidentally grabbed a deer steak pack out of my freezer. Definitely going to try a different steak and give it a review. VERY good packaging, came frozen with extra ice added and awesome biodegradable foam and that’s awesome. I will be ordering more for sure.

Not bad but not that good
I was not very impressed with this steak. I purchased a cheaper cut because even the cheaper cuts of wagyu are more marbled than regular beef. If I was blindfolded I would not be able to tell the difference with this cut and supermarket sirloin. I am glad the price wasn't too bad.

Chewy but very good.
Used the pan frying method described by SRF. A bit chewy, but very beefy. Not as marbled as you might want from a Wagyu cross, but a good tasting steak.
