Snake River Farms Sirloin Steak
Sirloin is arguably the most well known steak and is frequently a restaurant special because of its meaty flavor and great value. Our filets are cut from the top sirloin, a large boneless lean portion which many consider superior to the bottom sirloin. Snake River Farms top sirloin steak is well flavored, lean and feature the moderate tenderness that is the hallmark of sirloin cuts. These sirloin steaks are extremely versatile for either steak or sirloin tips, and are an ideal choice for your favorite marinades or prepared straight-up on the grill.
Steak Temperature GuideHere are the magic numbers you’ll need to determine when your steak is cooked to the degree of doneness you most prefer. The internal temp is when the steak should be removed from the heat. The steak will continue to cook so the temperature will rise during the rest period.
|Rare||Red center, very cool||110°F|
|Medium Rare||Red, warm center||120°F|
|Medium Well||Pink center||140°F|
|Well||No pink||Not recommended|
*Consuming raw or undercooked meats may increase your risk of foodborne illness. The USDA recommends an internal temp of 145°F and resting for at least 3 minutes.

I liked it...
Steak looked really good and cooked SUPER well, I went cast iron pan to oven but honestly the taste of this reminded me of deer meat. I nearly almost checked the garbage can in my kitchen to see if I accidentally grabbed a deer steak pack out of my freezer. Definitely going to try a different steak and give it a review. VERY good packaging, came frozen with extra ice added and awesome biodegradable foam and that’s awesome. I will be ordering more for sure.

Not bad but not that good
I was not very impressed with this steak. I purchased a cheaper cut because even the cheaper cuts of wagyu are more marbled than regular beef. If I was blindfolded I would not be able to tell the difference with this cut and supermarket sirloin. I am glad the price wasn't too bad.

Chewy but very good.
Used the pan frying method described by SRF. A bit chewy, but very beefy. Not as marbled as you might want from a Wagyu cross, but a good tasting steak.

Tender and Flavorful
I stocked up on these the last time they were on sale. I was a bit hesitant since I hadn't tried them before, but I wasn't disappointed. The first time we grilled them, I also had a Costco USDA Choice NY Strip (not quite apples to apples) and the Wagyu Sirloin put the Choice NY Strip to shame. Of course, the price (even on sale) was more, but it was worth it.
