It’s sometimes called a top blade steak and comes from the shoulder or chuck. The Snake River Farms flat iron features intense marbling and a robust beef flavor that stands on its own or marries perfectly with your favorite rub or marinade. Sliced thin against the grain and placed on a bed of greens, the flat iron makes a fresh and savory summer meal. This “steak ready” cut weighs approximately one pound and a half, is trimmed and ready for the grill or skillet.

Due to the unique conformations of this product, approximate weights can vary up to +/- 0.5 pounds.

    Serviced this up to some very close friends. Salt pepper on a hot cast iron pan 3 minutes each side Wow we were all amazed on how a cut of meat can taste so good with so little done to it...

    Absolutely, the best steaks ever. Marinate in Soy sauce and Rosemary for about an hour then grill fast and hot to medium rare. Unbelievable flavor!

    I have noticed that the plastic bags get damage during shipping causing a minor amount of freezer burn. This could be prevented if the steaks had and additional layer of protective foam. This would guarantee the best quality.

    Absolutely the best cut from my entire order. Marinated in olive oil, garlic, rosemary and salt. Then seared on high heat over charcoal. Brilliant! I only wish that you could order cut into half size portions.
