  • SO TENDER AND GREAT FLAVOR!

    I've had the PRIME Cowboy, and now the GOLD Waygu! These cuts are a blast to cook! Both are fantastic, but this one just has something... - Its so juicy, so tender, and just kind of explodes with flavor in your mouth! Not to mention it was a full 3 lbs!!! The whole family really enjoyed it (It served 4) Will definitely order again! Next up - Dry Aged! Thanks SRF!

  • Best I've ever had

    I've been to the high end steak houses more times than I can count, and this steak blew away anything I've ever had. I cooked it on the grill high heat with charcoal & wood chips. I could have finished it alone if I didn't have to share. I've never had anything so flavorful and tender.

  • Disappointed

    I compared a few vendors to SRF before deciding to purchase my Gold grade waygu from them. I was very excited after my research and reading the reviews here on the site. Many people expressed their complete satisfaction with their purchase and that the steak they received was the best one they'd every had. The ordering process was simple, shipping was fast and the packaging was amazing. The steak arrived frozen solid and included a very nice zippered cloth bag that is definitely re-usable. However, I sincerely hope that this was not the best steak I will every have because if so I need to give up steak now. In my experience high end pricing and packaging usually means one of two things: Either the product is superior due to quality of ingredient or difficulty in processing or it is used to mask product shortcomings. In my individual case it was the latter, this steak while substantial in size and appealing to the eye, was no more tender or flavorful than a Prime grade steak I would purchase from my local butcher. I have had better tasting and more tender steak in several franchise steakhouses that I will not name here to prevent this from turning into an ad for another vendor. This is not about another vendor being better than Snake River Farms, this is about SNF not living up to my expectations after paying over $100.00 for a product that did not meet the standard of an item in this price range. I am not disappointed about spending the money, I am disappointed that my experience was not of the same value.

  • Monster steak

    This is an impressive cut - It is massive, and your side dishes will in fact be on a side plate, because this beast will overwhelm your dinner plate. It is well marbled and had great flavor. I cooked it for my brother and dad who are both steak lovers, and they were impressed. Prepared on a smoker with a reverse sear technique. Steak was prepped with an hour of salt crust, followed by a rinse, and then a generous layer of Meat Church Holy Cow BBQ rub. A+ Steak.
