Snake River Farms short ribs are 7 pounds of rich, delectable beef. Short ribs were one of the most requested items from our customers and we wanted to offer an American Wagyu version in a big way, quite literally.
Beef short ribs are larger and meatier than their popular pork counterparts. Our American Wagyu Short Ribs are Plate Short Ribs (NAMP 123A series for you beef experts) are sourced from the plate primal located below the ribs. These ribs are highly marbled, meaty and unusually delicious.
Each package now contains 1, 3-bone slab that can be prepared as fancy or simple as you’d like. Try them long-cooked in the classic French dish pot-au-feu, seasoned with Korean spices or slow-smoked barbecue style. No matter how you cook them, these giant American Wagyu beauties will be part of a memorable feast.

I’ve ordered a lot from SRF and this might be the best piece of meat I ever had in my life! The quality of meat compares to no one and the taste of this short rib will have you thinking about it for weeks after! Well worth the buy!

Beef short ribs
SRF is a class act in he meat industry. The ribs tastes incredible as always. We raise these Wagyu so the healthily fat content is not a surprise when we see it. One package so far just had more than 70% of it with fat. We will smoke up the other package and see how that goes some day. We did take the fat and ground it up and made sausage links with Wagyu. Meat so all was not loss.

Beef short rib “plate”
Received 7lb beef rib plate. Smoked on Green Egg. We’re very good. Disappointed however in that having never made these called to inquire how many people we can expect these ribs to serve for our small party planning purposes. Here was answer: .. typically we recommend 8 oz per person on serving sizes. There is some shrinkage with the Short Ribs, so you should be able to feed 3-5 people (per rib) depending on the eaters serving 9-15 people. Sadly, that was far from correct for the ribs we received. It did nicely feed 3 average eating men and 3 mostly petite eating women. One of the ribs was not very meaty so perhaps that was reason? Again, tastes great, and easy to smoke, but this was our experience and this particular plate could not feed more than 6 let alone 15.

SRF Team : Thank you very much for the tips and awesome feedback, Scott! We sincerely apologize if you were misinformed on the serving sizes. Typically, each rib feeds about 2-3 people, so in total the American Wagyu Short Ribs feed about 6-9 people.
Awesome Beef Ribs
I ordered two Wagyu Beef Rib racks and cooked them low (250 degrees at the grate) and slow (10 hours) on my Kamado Joe. This was my first time to cook this type of meat. I wrapped them in butcher paper at about the 3.5 hour mark or when they were close to 160 degrees. The result was fantastic; they both had a great bark on them and a beautiful smoke ring when I sliced them. The meet was super moist and it seemed like it was melting in my mouth when I ate it. I am so happy with the way they turned out. I will definitely order this again.

Beef “ Short “ ribs
Some Jacobson steak seasoning then 225 on the Treg til 204. No wrap needed. Your gonna love the Freddy Flintstone size bones. So good! So rich. Unreal marbling. How do you not order again?
