It’s sometimes called a top blade steak and comes from the shoulder or chuck. The Snake River Farms flat iron features intense marbling and a robust beef flavor that stands on its own or marries perfectly with your favorite rub or marinade. Sliced thin against the grain and placed on a bed of greens, the flat iron makes a fresh and savory summer meal. This “steak ready” cut weighs approximately one pound and a half, is trimmed and ready for the grill or skillet.

  • Outstanding Flavor

    We grilled the steak with portobello mushrooms and served with our own fresh grown vegetables. The generous cut was enough for four of us making it an outstanding meal.

  • Worth the money!

    I have the say some of the best meals I’ve ever made have included SRF beef. I’ve made the Cowboy Ribeyes, porterhouse steaks, pork loin, and tenderloin. Everything I’ve made was exceptional quality and very good. This might be the best thing I’ve ever made! I smoked it indirect with Cherry wood untill the internal temperature reached 120 then took it off wrapped with foil for 10 minutes. Carry over temperature was 128. Seriously the best steak I’ve ever had.

  • Exceeded expectations

    I may have autism, but that does not mean I have a one dimensional palette. I was fortunate to find Snake River Farms wagyu beef. Made a coffee rub for the flat iron. This was inspired by a dish I had at The Bazaar by Jose Andres in Beverly Hills. Broiled it for about 10 minutes cause I like my steak rare to medium rare. It was a hit among my and my friends, most of whom also have autism. I hope to find more great wagyu from Snake River Farms.
