Here are the magic numbers you’ll need to determine when your steak is cooked to the degree of doneness you most prefer. The internal temp is when the steak should be removed from the heat. The steak will continue to cook so the temperature will rise during the rest period.

    Well I have ordered 8 steaks and we have had 4 so far. I am disappointed with these steaks and have called customer service to explain why. The strip steak side has been tough and chewy on every one of them so far. They were cooked to the time and temp that was suggested and just not sure what the problem is. Customer service told me to eat a few more and see if anything is different....it doesn't seem to be.

    The Porterhouse turned off great. Cooked on gas grill on cast iron pan. Removed from grill at 125* let it rest for over 5 minutes taste was great, great flavor. If you like Porthouse you will not be disappointed with SFR.

    I consider the Porterhouse steak the King of all steaks and I was not let down. This beauty was large enough to feed three people. and was a thick, well marbled cut. I grilled it to a perfect medium-rare over Kingsford coals on the Weber Grill which is my preferred method to cook such large cuts of meat. WOW, what a tasty pleasure to behold. I have ordered many different cuts of beef from Snake River farms but this one was beyond expectation. I will definitely order the Porterhouse again.

    Just perfect in every way. A nice large steak just under two inches thick.
    Great taste, nice flavor, cooked to medium rare and our guests just raved about it.
    We have never been disappointed with our purchases from SRF--great steaks great customer service.
