    I’ve never cooked pork belly, so this was a new experience for me. The belly I received was 10.2#, so I cut it into 3 pieces slightly over 3# each. One piece went into the freezer, one I cured to make bacon, and the other I made pork belly “burnt ends.” My first attempt at bacon turned out well. The burnt ends were “wow!” I cut that piece into approximately 1” squares, rubbed them with pork rub and brown sugar, then smoked for two hours at 250. After that, I put them in a pan, sprinkled a little more broken sugar and barbecue sauce, covered them and smoked for another 1.5 hours. Can you say “bacon candy?” My family raved about them and gobbled them up. Will definitely buy again.

  • Pork Belly

    I had never had a pork belly on a smoker before and thought it would be the perfect Easter dinner with my family, pork belly tacos. Wow, 4.5 hours later with a special slaw, pork belly cut about an 1/8” on soft taco shells, it could not have been better! It’s all gone and ready to order another one!! Great job SRF on this pork!!!

  • Looking good so far

    I just received the pork belly and I am impressed so far. Although the description says 5-6 pounds, mine was 10.2 pounds and looks meaty. I’ll update this next week after I cook it. Plan on putting it on my smoker for several hours. Can’t wait til next weekend!

  • SIMPLY DELICIOUS!

    The pork belly from SRF is consistently excellent in flavor and quality. The meat is juicy, sweet and clean tasting. I like the fact that it comes in one piece, which gives me the latitude to use it as a whole or cut in different sizes according to the need. I am a fan!
