NOTE - The time and care we spend with each of our Kurobuta hams limits the amount we can produce. We carefully smoke our hams specifically for the major holiday seasons in the winter and spring of each year. Snake River Farms hams are generally available from October to May. This seasonal approach ensures that each ham is of the highest quality possible when you need it the most.

There's something almost magical about Snake River Farms Kurobuta hams. Produced using time honored curing methods and carefully smoked over real hardwood, our gourmet hams are sweet, tender, rich in flavor, and have the perfect essence of smoke. Our Berkshire hams consistently receive top scores in artisan ham comparisons and are frequently featured by celebrity chefs and culinary experts during the holidays. Available in a whole ham (14lbs) or small half ham (6lbs) or large half ham (8lbs).

Kurobuta is the Japanese term for “black hog” and refers to animals of the Berkshire variety, a heritage breed. Kurobuta pork is highly marbled with a beautiful dark color, firm texture, and naturally delicious flavor. The Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries mandates that pork designated as “Kurobuta” must consist of 100% Berkshire animals. Snake River Farms gourmet hams strictly adhere to this requirement. Our animals are treated humanely and are raised on small family farms without hormones using a natural slow feed process.

    This ham is exceptional. I've ordered before and I'll order again. It's delicious and does not disappoint. All you have to do is heat it to the proper temperature and the ham will delight your taste buds and your dinner guests. Worth every penny and you'll not find anything like this at your local meat purveyor or grocery store. Once you try this ham you'll never buy another at the supermarket. You'll come back again and again. Simply the best!
