Here are the magic numbers you’ll need to determine when your steak is cooked to the degree of doneness you most prefer. The internal temp is when the steak should be removed from the heat. The steak will continue to cook so the temperature will rise during the rest period.

Medium Rare Red, warm center 120°F
Medium Pink throughout 130°F
Medium Well Pink center 140°F
Well No pink Not recommended

  • NY steaks for a 60th birday

    The steaks were a great hit...

    They were served with the following:

    Baked seafood stuffed mushrooms

    Your steaks (cooked Med Rare)
    Maine Lobster tails with garlic butter
    Double stuffed baked garlic and Parm potatoes
    Strawberry short cake drizzled with dark chocolate.

  • Poor cuts

    Ordered 6 strips and several were from the worst part of the strip. I would expect this if I ordered a whole strip but not individual steaks. They should all have been too a quality section.
